Short CV

Nadine Steinmetz (neé Ludwig) graduated from Ilmenau University of Technology with a degree in Computer Science in 2005.

From June 2006 until April 2010 Nadine Steinmetz was a part of the MuLF Center at Berlin Institute of Technology as a research assistant where she was researching on Cooperative Knowledge Spaces and the integration of Semantic Web technologies to improve the navigation through room-based e-Learning platforms.

In May 2010 she joined the research group on Semantic Technologies at the Hasso Plattner Institute for Software Systems Engineering in Potsdam. Her main research field was automatic annotation of video metadata using semantic technologies.

In 2014 she received her PhD from University of Potsdam (resp. Hasso Plattner Institute) for her dissertation entitled "Context-Aware Semantic Analysis of Video Metadata".

Since April 2015 Nadine Steinmetz works at the Ilmenau University of Technology. In the first two years she was focussed on the development of educational technologies, the enhancement with semantic functionalities and the support of extra-occupational course offerings on digitale learning platforms.

In April 2017 she joined the department of Databases and Information Systems and the project "Asked and Answered".
