Department of Advanced Electromagnetics
Who we are and what we do
The department of Advanced Electromagnetics comprises the topics theory and computation of electromagnetic fields as well as simulation of heterogeneous systems with the aim of utilising physical principles in innovative applications. In this course, the field of electromagnetic sensor technology in a broader sense has established itself traditionally as a topic of special emphasis. In particular, research contributions in the areas: ultra-sensitive superconductive sensors with quantum accuracy, single-flux-quantum electronic circuits, solution of inverse problems in electromagnetics – mainly for localisation of field sources – as well as analysis of non-linear systems are supporting this main research direction.
