Students are required to develop a research question, run data analysis accordingly and present the results orally and in a (short) written term paper (a data set for this will be provided in class)

In the end of the lecture students are able to run basic and multivariate methods of data analysis with SPSS

content

Based on an existing data set (gathered from a research module on topic fatigue) we will work together on the basic steps of data analysis with SPSS. This includes:

  • Data cleaning
  • Data transformation
  • Basic methods of data analysis (frequencies, t-test, correlation)
  • Multivariate methods of data analysis (regression, analysis of variance, factor analysis)
  • Data presentation (orally and written)                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         This course is addessed to those students who want to practice and refresh their knowledge in data analysis from the course „scientific work and empirical research”
