The new in AMAM 2005

• Preceding conferences taught us how interesting the activities of our colleagues in the not directly neighboured fields are, and that we are lacking basic knowledge to really understand what the others do. Thus four days of the conference will start with each two invited one-hour lectures on “Basics and Advances in …” (B&A). The later morning and the afternoon will give room to free contributions, including oral presentations, poster presentations and exhibitions in the "robot zoo".
• German Federal Government supports the development of bionic activities by granting a German competence network of bionics (BioKoN). On half-time of the conference (Wednesday morning), BioKoN will present some contributions on items seemingly interesting for the auditory of AMAM 2005.
• Public will have access to the Robot exhibition on the weekend before the conference, if a sufficient number of colleagues is willingly to show their machines. Participants of the conference who take part in that "Tage der Robotik und Bionik" only pay half the fee for AMAM 2005.
