Dear sir or madam,

thank you for your interest.  We are two students who are studying applied media science at the Technische Universitaet Ilmenau. Momentarily we are researching on a new music distribution method in Second Life, what is part of our media project. The basis for this distribution method is the PotatoSystem. The PotatoSystem - a music system -  was developed originally from the 4FriendsOnly.com Internet Technologies AG in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technology (IDMT) in Ilmenau.

Your participation will help us to improve this new distribution method to make it much more
comfortable to SL users. You will be rewarded with one free songs and 60 L$ for your effort. Thank you for your support!

This project is overseen by Anja Beyer from the Institute of Media and Communication Science of  the TU Ilmenau. (IFMK)


What do I have to do to participate in the test?

1. Write an e-mail to christiane.westendorf@stud.tu-ilmenau.de. You will
    receive more information and the exact SURL, you have to teleport to.

2. Teleport yourself to the land.  

3. Explore the land like you would if you visited it coincidently on a day in
   Second Life.

4. Choose a song and listen to it.

5. Buy a song.

6. Fill out the following questionnaire
   (http://www.unipark.de/uc/musicdistribution).


Do I have to pay the song with my money?

When you write the e-mail tell us the name of your avatar.
You will receive the amount of 330 L$ Linden Dollars before testing.

When will I receive my reward of 60 Linden Dollars?

After testing you must fill out the questionnaire. At the end
of it you will find a field where you must put in your complete SL user name.
The money will then be send to the avatar typed in this field
throughout another avatar within the next days.  

How can I be sure, that everything is legal?

You cannot see that we are two students of the Institute of
media and communication science (IFMK), but we can offer you
some points where you ill recognise that everything is legal. 

• The contents of this project are published on the IFMK website as well as on the website of the 4FriendsOnly AG.
• Anja Beyer - the person in support - does really exist. If you have a look at the IFMK website, you can convince yourself.
• We wouldn’t be able to publish all the information legally, if our university and the 4FriendsOnly AG didn’t cooperate.
• Write an e-mail to the address named above and you will receive an individual e-mail.
