Graduate School on Image Processing and Image Interpretation

Welcome

to the Graduate School on Image Processing and Image Interpretation.

The graduate school provides an excellent environment for aspiring young researchers to explore an interesting fundamental image processing problem in the context of a practical application. Throughout the programme each researcher will improve his or her competences in this promising computer science discipline and lay the foundation for a highly successful career in academics or industry.

Main Research Topics

The graduate school focuses on fundamental resarch in the area of image processing by adressing research topics interdisciplinarily in view of possible applications.

There are three main research areas to be investigated in the context of four application fields:

The school was founded by ten distinguished researchers from Ilmenau University of TechnologyFriedrich Schiller University of Jena and Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Optics and Precision Engineering in the context of the Thüringer Ministerium für Bildung, Wissenschaft und Kultur's ProExzellenz programme.
