Design and robustness of output derivative feedback stabilization, lambda-tracking and funnel control for linear MIMO-systems is analysed. These control strategies require only structural assumptions of systems: relative degree and normal form, minimum phase and positive high-frequency gain. A detailed analysis of this properties is given for MIMO-systems with non-strict relative degree.
The contollers are robust in this sense: if a closed-loop system [P,C] (applying controller C to linear plant P) is stable and the gap metric between P (or C) and a plant P1 (or controller C1) is sufficiently small, then the closed-loop system [P1,C] (or [P,C1]) is again stable.
In particular: output derivative feedback may be replaced by output delay feedback (approximations of the derivatives), provided the delay is small. Lambda-tracking and funnel control may be applied to systems which are close (in terms of a small gap) to systems satisfying the above structural assumptions.

In this dissertation differential algebraic equations (DAEs) of the form Ex'=Ax+f are studied.
A main goal is the consideration of certain distributions (or generalized functions) as solutions and studying time-varying DAEs, whose coefficient matrices have jumps. Therefore, the space of piecewise-smooth distributions is introduced as the solution space.
For this space of distributions, it is possible to define a multiplication; hence, DAEs can be studied whose coefficient matrices have also distributional entries. Necessary and sufficient conditions for existence and uniqueness of (distributional) solutions are derived.
For switched DAEs, sufficient conditions are given which ensure that all solutions are impulse free and stability is studied.
Finally, controllability and observability are defined for distributional DAEs. A normal form for time-invariant pure DAEs is derived which allows for a simple characterization of controllability and observability.

Eine geophysikalische Grenze der anthropogenen Abwärmeproduktion für kommende Jahrhunderte wurde bereits 1973 von R. Döpel (1895-1982) aufgezeigt. Sein bestechend einfaches Modell der globalen Erwärmung bei exponentiellem Wachstum der industriellen Energieerzeugung, das den anthropogenen Treibhauseffekt nicht berücksichtigt, wird hier historisch eingeordnet und aktualisiert. Die Resultate werden den vom UN-Klimarat 2007 vorgestellten Projektionen zum Kohlendioxideinfl uss bis zum Jahr 3000 gegenübergestellt, die ihrerseits die anthropogene Abwärme nicht beachteten.
Nicht nur als der Experimentalphysiker, der zusammen mit dem Theoretiker Werner Heisenberg zuerst die Nutzungsmöglichkeit von Kernenergie für friedliche Zwecke nachwies, verdient Robert Döpel besondere Würdigung, sondern auch als ein Wissenschaftler mit hohem Ethos, der frühzeitig globale Probleme erkannte und für deren nachhaltige Lösung eintrat. Seine Aussagen zu energetischen Wachstumsgrenzen werden zu wenig beachtet.
