Submission of abstracts

Submission of abstracts (extended to 28th February 2020)

Submit your abstracts online using CONVERIA.

Prospective authors are invited to submit original and previously unpublished papers on the topics listed above. Abstracts clearly explaining the contribution, originality and relevance of the work are expected. The language for the publications is English.

  • Papers submitted to 60th IWK 2020 will be subjected to a peer review process, carried out by the members of the Scientific Committee.
    Every accepted full paper – held and discussed at the conference – gets its own URN (Uniform Resource Name) and will be published afterwards permanently online (www.db-thueringen.de).

Assignment of rights

Papers submitted to 60th IWK 2020 will be subjected to a peer review process,
carried out by the members of the Scientific Committee.

Review criteria are:

  • novelty and level of contribution
  • validity of conclusions
  • applicability of conclusions to further research or practice
  • formal qualities of the contribution.

Submission of final papers

Submission of final papers (18th April – 30th June 2020)

Please submit after notification of acceptance online using CONVERIA the following documents until 30th June 2020:

  1. We need your full paper (6 to 20 pages) as PDF file for publication on USB stick and with Uniform Resource Name (URN, given by the Library of the Technische Universität Ilmenau) for publishing online after the conference. The URN is generated automatically and will be assigned by the conference organizers.

  2. We need also a short abstract 1500 characters (including spaces) at same time as ASCII file for publication in the conference programme.

Information for Authors with oral presentation/ publication on USB stick

  • A maximum of 20 minutes has been allocated for each presentation
    (including discussion)
  • A maximum of 40 minutes has been allocated for each presentation
    (including discussion) – for invited speakers only.
  • Possible File Format for the publication: PDF document (compatible PDF/A) only without document protection and with embedded formatting)
  • Length of paper: no page restriction, but at least 6 pages
  • Maximum size of file: 20 MB
  • Language: English
  • Page numbering: on the right bottom margin

Information for Authors with poster presentation/ publication on USB stick

  • Possible File Format for the publication: PDF document (compatible PDF/A) only without document protection and with embedded formatting)
  • Length of paper: no page restriction, but at least 6 pages
  • Maximum size of file: 20 MB
  • Language: English
  • Page numbering: on the right bottom margin
  • An area measuring 70 cm in width and 100 cm in height is available for your poster presentation in the conference office

On-site presentation

On-site presentation

As Service in Preparation your IWK presentation (only for oral contributions) on-site we can offer you the presentation upload via CONVERIA in advance. It is also possible to bring your presentation via USB-Stick direct to the conference. Our technical chair will upload your presentation on-site in the lecture room.
