Touring exhibition proceeds: European Cultural lifestyle in Ceramics – from Baroque until today

Since 1st August 2015, numerous visitors explore the past usage of ceramics, changes in ceramics lifestyle, and new design trends visiting the touring exhibition in Selb (Germany).

Since August, the touring exhibition, curated by the Museo Internazionale delle Ceramiche in Faenza, is shown at Porzellanikon in Selb. Numerous visitors discover the past usage of ceramics, changes in ceramics lifestyle, and actual design trends on their own or during one of four offered guided tours. At Porzellanikon the exhibition was extended by a touchscreen offering additional information to selected objects.

On 8th October 2015, a round table forum took place at Porzellanikon with representatives from Universities, manufactures, the ceramics industry, and the Association of the German Ceramics Industry as part of the exhibition. The discussion was held under the title Ceramics – Quo vadis? The situation of the German ceramics industry, innovations, new challenges, and future perspectives. An interested audience followed the discussion and uttered their own opinions.

In about a week, on 15th November 2015, the exhibition will be closed at Porzellanikon. Next venue is the Museo Nacional de Cerámica y Artes Suntuarias "González Martí" in Valencia. There, it will be shown from 15th January until 30th April 2016
