The Institute for Media Technology is involved in the further development of production technology, and dissemination and reproduction of electronic media. Research in these areas is divided into five subject areas.

Our institute supports the degree program Media Technology and offers instruction for both of the other media degree programs at the TU Ilmenau (Applied Media and Communication Science, and Media Economics) as well as media-technological specializations in other degree programs.
