Mira Rochyadi-Reetz receives a scholarship from the “Stiftung der Deutschen Wirtschaft”

After several selection phases, the “Stiftung der Deutschen Wirtschaft” granted a scholarship to Mira Rochyadi-Reetz to pursue her PhD in the department of Empirical Media Research and Political Communication.

The grant is part of the German government program to support talented young researchers. The scholarship is granted for young scientists, who not only possess excellent academic achievements, but also show a high social engagement.

Mira Rochyadi-Reetz graduated her second master degree at the Institute of Media and Communication Science with an excellent grade. During her study, she initiated and organized several cultural activities on campus as well as in the city of Ilmenau. She also initiated a campus discussion round on the subject of gender equalities in several countries. Since 2015, she works as a research assistant at the Department of Empirical Media Research and Political Communication. Her research area is environmental communication. In her dissertation, she will investigate the relationship between environmental journalists and political actors in Indonesia under the supervision of Prof. Jens Wolling.
