Aliya Iskenderova has joined the Computational Communication Science research group

Aliya Iskenderova will support Junior-Professor Dr. Emese Domahidi in the research on digital media and associated social changes using advanced computational methods.

Aliya Iskenderova graduated at Lomonosov Moscow State University (Russia) with a specialist degree in media and journalism. As a part of her exchange year (2013-2014), she participated in the international honours programme for advanced students in journalism and media studies at the Hogeschool Utrecht (the Netherlands) and the Danish School of Media and Journalism (Denmark). From 2016 to 2018 she pursued a master's degree in Media and Communication Science at the Technische Universität Ilmenau. Her master's thesis "Investigating Effects of Virtual Sun Movements and Mental Workload on Time Judgments In and After Virtual Reality" was devoted to the research on human factors and virtual reality. During her studies, she worked as a research assitant with the Virtual Worlds and Digital Games research group with Professor Dr. Wolfgang Broll.
