Research Group on Media Psychology and Media Design represented four times at GOR 2019

The GOR (General Online Research) is Germany's most influential conference for online research. This year the conference took place from March 6 to 8, 2019 in Cologne. The Research Group Media Psychology and Media Design was represented four times at the conference.

Dr. Rohangis Mohseni and his external colleagues Dr. Johannes Breuer (GESIS) and Julian Kohne (GESIS) held a presentation on how YouTube comments can be automatically collected and evaluated. In particular, they explained how Emojis can be taken into account in automatic analyses, which was not possible in previous approaches. Further information can be found at

Ana Celia Schoemberger presented results from her master thesis "Feminism on YouTube: A Content Analysis on its Content and its Reactions".

As part of the GOR Thesis Award Competition, Jasmin Lehmann presented her bachelor thesis "Analysis of interaction using the example of a cMOOC. Results of a quantitative content analysis of Twitter messages and qualitative surveys".

Prof. Dr. Nicola Döring supported the GOR 2019 as member of a six-people jury for the presentation of the DGOF Best Paper Award, which was intended to honor an outstanding peer-reviewed publication on online research.
