Prof. Löffelholz gave a talk at AMIC's annual convention in Bangkok

At the 27th Annual Meeting of the Asian Media Information and Communication Centre (AMIC) on 17 June 2019 in Bangkok, Prof. Martin Löffelholz explained the characteristics of the structural change of the public sphere in the age of hybrid and automated communication.

AMIC's 27th annual conference was held at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok

Mark Pearson, Martin Löffelholz and Misako Ito at the plenary discussion on "Communication, Human Rights, and Democracy"

In the "UNESCO Emeritus Dialogue", he discussed current problems in the field of "Communication, Human Rights, and Democracy" with Misako Ito, UNESCO Regional Advisor for Communication and Information, and Professor Mark Pearson from Griffith University in Australia. Prof. Löffelholz analyzed, among other things, the increasing restrictions on media freedom in various European countries.

AMIC was founded in Singapore at the beginning of the 1970s and is regarded as Asia's most important media-related association. More than 400 scientists took part in the 27th Annual Convention. The conference was hosted by the Faculty of Communication Arts of Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok.
