- Nowadays, self-management capabilites, in any system, are provided by developing some independent modules. The modules performs different targeted operations. As the element of heterogenity will increase in future networks, the interactions among these modules will become complexer and will be harder to manage. Thus the autonomity in
the system will decrease. We proposed a generic five layered architecture which focuses in increased self-management capabilites for heterogeneous networks. This paper presents the idea of a generic five layered architecture for self-management in heterogeneous networks with an overview of interactions and interfaces.
