- Abstract:

- Abstract:
- Goal of this project seminar was the enhancement of an existing infrastructure for an investigation of different routing recovery strategies like global, local or rerouting from detector - programmed in the forwarding on gates simulator frogger. On one hand there are changes regarding the node infrastructure in frogger itself and on the other hand you find adjustments necessary to run rerouting tests in a distributed environment. Topologies were created with BRITE with respect to WAXMAN- and GLP-strategy. In our tests a forwarding node in the middle is broken. Used topologies differ in connectivity - router and autonomous system level.

- Abstract:

- Abstract:

- Abstract:
- The diploma thesis focuses on the conception and evaluation of a flexible hierarchical routing service for the Future Internet approach „Forwarding on Gates„ (FoG). It determines the theoretical aspects and fundamentals for a later implementation of a FoG based routing service. Initially, specific requirements for a hierarchical routing service are analyzed. Afterwards, different existing routing protocols as well as hierarchical routing approaches are examined and described. BGP, OSPF and HSR are in the main focus. Based on this a concept for the required routing service is developed. The concept considers scalability and flexibility, addionally quality of service and mobility were kept in mind during design process of the service.
Every process done internally in the routing service is described by sequence charts and defined protocol data units. Moreover, a description of a possible way for adaptating known routing protocols is included.
Finally the conception is evaluated analytically byased on defined scenarios and typical error cases.

- Abstract:
- This diploma thesis deals with the aspects of interoperability between today's internet protocol IP and the future internet approach "Forwarding on Gates” (FoG).
It covers an introduction to the topic and a summary of relevant research work in the area of interoperability and address translation. Furthermore the functional and non-functional requirements for an interopability concept are analyzed. The thesis provides a transparent translation of IP and FoG based packets and addionally it illustrates an autonomous working configuration idea where good scalability were one of the main design aspects. The proposed approach is based on InterOp-hosts and IP-wrappers. It is similar to the NAT-PT concept. In addition, more variations for addressing and identification to permit concept modifications and extensions are shown. The typical procedures and interactions between components are presented and explained. Within the work also complexity discussions are included, which discuss the scalability and feasibility of the concept. In the end, an evaluation of the concept for interoperability between IP and FoG is described which was done with the help of a Java based simulator of the department. The functionality of the concept was validated by several practical scenarios.

- Abstract:
- In the 1970-s Delta-t was developed at LINCS as timer-controlled universal transport protocol and it is able to put on at non connected network layer protocols . It needs comparatively few packages, that serve for the pure connecting-management.
For that reason it is especially suitable for short questions and answers that arise within the scorpe of client-/server-applications.
This brainwork explains the special mechanisms of connecting management and shows the structure and composition of the several Delta-t Packet-Header-Types and it gives an overview about the needed service of network layer and possible services for the aplication layer.

- Abstract:

- Abstract:
- This diploma thesis is about the connection establishment under future internet approach
Forwarding on Gates (FoG) and all therefore required conceptional basics and functionalities.
The attention is directed to the modeling of QoS requirements and signaling in
FoG messages, especially for connection establishment. In addition to that, there has been
more researching on structure and chronology of this messages to discover consolidation
and reduction possibilities for optimization of the data volume to increase eciency and
stability. On top of this theoretical examinations an evaluation is performed to prove capability
of this models and provide a partial proof of the practicability of the Forwarding
on Gates concepts.
