Project Goal: The projects aim is the conception and the implementation of a virtual testing and simulation environment for the development of vehicles that connect electromagnetic, mechatronic, audiovisual, psychological and physiological platforms for measurement and display.

The subproject “Virtual Driver”, led by Sandra Pöschl and Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Broll (Virtual Worlds and Digital Games Group), deals with the development of adequate measuring methods for the  collection of user factors (user needs, user experience) in human-machine-cooperation within the vehicle as well as the development of a virtual passenger cabin. This is a novel test environment for the development and evaluation of new user interfaces for driving assistance and infotainment systems.
