DAAD "Go East Summer Schools 2023"

The DAAD's "Go East" initiative supports study and research visits by students from Germany to the countries of Central, Southeastern and Eastern Europe as well as the South Caucasus and Central Asia.

Under certain conditions, persons with foreign citizenship can also be included in the funding measures.

Universities in the region offer summer schools on a wide range of topics each year. The program is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

From 01.03.2023 you can apply to one of the 33 summer schools in the following countries: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Kosovo, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan.

The two-pronged application process means that you apply to the summer school for admission on the one hand and to the DAAD for a scholarship on the other. The application deadline in the DAAD portal is identical to the application deadline of the respective summer school.
