Family garden party in the Kita "Studentenflöhe“

On June 17, from 3 to 5 p.m., the traditional family garden party of the daycare center "Studentenflöhe" of the Studierendenwerk Thüringen will take place. The program includes face painting, marble pictures, duck fishing and of course coffee and cake. The project partner Symbioun will be there with movement games. In addition, the company apetito will provide fresh fruit. During the cake bazaar, donations will be collected for the Kita-Förderverein. On the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the daycare center, an insect hotel will be donated by a father. A soap bubble flash mob is planned as the highlight of the festival and an employee of the TU Ilmenau presents his soap bubble art.

In the run-up to the family garden festival, there was a parents'café organized by the parents' council for the first time on June 9, which will serve to network parents with each other and will now take place regularly. "The topic of family friendliness is very close to our hearts and therefore the idea for such a café was born," explains Diana Mock, director of the daycare center.

The close cooperation with the TU Ilmenau on campus has existed for many years in the form of the Campus Family Office. The TU Ilmenau and the Studierendenwerk Thüringen want to constantly improve the conditions for the compatibility of study/work and family. The aim is to create family-friendly study conditions for students and family-friendly working conditions for university employees. An important component of this is the Kita Studentenflöhe. It offers optimum childcare options for both students and university employees.
