The PATON National Patent Center organizes the PATINFO2022

PATINFO2022, the 44th International Colloquium of the Technische Universität Ilmenau on Patent Information and Industrial Property Protection, will take place from June 22 to 24 at the CongressCentrum Suhl - topic: "Internationalization and Digitalization of the IP World 2022". IP, intellectual property rights, often refer to international agreements. Especially in times of the global Corona pandemic and international crises, patents and trademarks are exposed to special challenges. Experts from industry, research and science will talk about this at PATINFO2022. Registration: www.paton.de/patinfo

Internationalization in the IP world is a focus of PATINFO2022. The introduction of the European unitary patent, changes in European design law and in the German and Chinese patent systems affect all areas that help protect intellectual property: from searches to invention and idea management, application and grant procedures, and enforcement and exploitation of IP rights.

The second focus of PATINFO2022: the further increase in digitization - not least in response to challenges posed by the Corona pandemic. Digitization not only influences the forms of collaboration in companies, it also leads to innovative solutions to technical problems, which in turn affects the search, examination and granting of IP rights.

Internationalization and digitization of the IP world are changing the work and framework conditions of research institutions and companies, information providers, law firms and patent offices. Cross-industry and cross-thematic networking of various data sources is creating new search opportunities and new search tools with intelligent use of software and more efficient information processing. At PATINFO2022, not only experts from industry, research and science, but also from the German Patent and Trademark Office, the European Patent Office, the World Intellectual Property Organization and the German Federal Ministry of Justice will speak about this.

In addition to the keynote lectures at PATINFO2022, software vendors and information service providers will present their latest products and developments in an accompanying exhibition and in short lectures. 16 workshops complement the program and are free of charge for PATINFO participants.
