On 22 and 23 September 2025, the consortium of the NeuroSensEar research project met for a two-day workshop in Erfurt. The aim of the meeting was to discuss the current status of the work, exchange results and jointly plan the next steps in the project.
In a series of technical presentations, the project partners presented their progress in the areas of bio-inspired hearing models, sensor hardware, signal processing, and sound quality and hearing perception assessment. The presentations provided a basis for intensive discussions on the further distribution of tasks, the status of the planned work packages, and necessary collaborations within the consortium.
The second day was devoted to joint planning of future publications and the further development of a demonstrator for neuromorphic acoustic sensing. Thematic working groups discussed data sets, evaluation methods and possibilities for application and system tests, for example for speech and music scenarios in noisy environments.
