Porous fluid structures are used today in many fields of technology, biotechnology and medicine (-technology). In this project, the fluid structures of polymers will be the main focus. The testing of such structures is usually done by fluidic testing. However, these methods have the decisive disadvantage that they provide integrated test results, i.e. an "average value" over the entire test object. In this project an automatic test machine is to be developed which guarantees a detailed optical inspection of the entire test object. Thereby, defects in pore geometry and arrangement shall be determined by image processing. This should also be possible on curved surfaces. In order to keep up with established methods, fluidic testing should also be possible for the specific test specimen in comparison and/or as a replacement. The conceptual work, the preparation of representative test samples and test criteria will be carried out by the FG Nanobiosystemtechnik of the TU Ilmenau. The implementation in a concrete test machine and the image processing software is done by SQB GmbH.
