Project number: 16KN070925

Participating groups: Nano-Biosystems Engineering

Period of funding: 01.10.2018 - 31.03.2021

Project information

Reduction of the number of stem cell variants obtained from patients by temporary or long-term expression of disease-relevant genes and gene variants.

Coordination with heart disease specialists on individual genetic risk factors to be studied, such as SNP, splicing in a portfolio of known patients with AF (see examples of Prof. Milting). In addition, the size and diversity of the planned library should be determined at the beginning of the project in consultation with the other partners and in a coordinating meeting.

For the microfluidic implementation of the overall project, the TU Ilmenau is conducting investigations of the interface problems for perfusive systems using microfluidic elements. Furthermore, investigations of the microfluidic properties of the coupled systems (HoaC microtiter plate and incubator) are necessary.
