Overview
In addition to research, the departments also take responsibility for the smooth running of studies at the university. Various central and decentralized service providers act on their behalf.
As part of the central Student administration in the ASC division, the Student's Office checks whether prospective students meet the admission requirements for the course of study of their choice before admission is granted and enrollment in the course of study can be made. The semester-by-semester re-registration, initiated by the transfer of the semester contribution, enables the university to plan sufficient classrooms and personnel in good time so that all prospective students can also participate in the teaching of the subjects they wish to study.
The central Classroom planning (planning of all courses and exams) is carried out in the ASC division in cooperation with the departments for education of the faculties. The planning results are published semester by semester in the electronic course catalogue.
The decentralized Examination administration in the divisions for education of the departments supports the demand-oriented planning of courses and examinations named in the study and examination regulations as well as a legally binding documentation of examination procedures and examination results.
Access to internet-based student and exam administration functions is provided by thoska+ on your own PC.
In the event of an accident, you are covered by the statutory Health insurance.
For international students, the Immigration authorities are the right contact for applying for a residence permit or extending their visa.
