Description
The bachelor's degree with a master's degree in teaching at vocational schools qualifies students to teach the chosen subject at vocational schools. It is offered jointly with the University of Erfurt. Training in the first subjects of electrical engineering or metal technology is based on the joint basic engineering studies and on the subjects of the Bachelor's degree courses in electrical engineering and information technology or mechanical engineering.
In the polyvalent bachelor's programme at the TU Ilmenau, specialist training is provided in first and second subjects. The first subject is electrical engineering or metal technology, and mathematics is currently offered as a second subject. Further second subjects can be taken at the University of Erfurt. Only one module on educational science, comprising 9 credit points, is anchored in the 5th semester.
"Polyvalence" refers to the possibility of being able to decide after the bachelor's programme, which lasts six semesters, whether to continue with the master's degree in the first subject Electrical Engineering or Metal Technology at the TU Ilmenau or whether to continue the master's degree at the University of Erfurt.
Fundamentals (mathematics, physics, computer science, electrical engineering)
