Graduates from Media Technology research and develop new processes, algorithms and products for the production, processing, transmission, storage and reproduction of media content. This comprises, for example, professional video and audio technology, three-dimensional virtual worlds, interactive television, human-machine communication, development of Internet applications, e-learning, games or mobile data services.
This master program is consecutive and is based on the seven-semester bachelor program in Media Technology or Electrical Engineering and Information Technology and other engineering and natural-scientific programs. The major is a combination of media technology, computer science, design and production as well as of interfaces to media economics and media science. Internships and projects are a regular feature of the study program and allow an application-related training based on numerous contacts with business and research facilities.
The interdisciplinary major Media Technology builds on a solid basic knowledge of media technology and qualifies in a special way for the management of projects in companies, independent activities with managerial responsibility or research and development activities. An interesting perspective is also offered with a doctorate study.
