thoska+ is now thoska

Newly enrolled students from WS 2021/22 will receive new thoska cards (Thuringian University and Student Union Card) with slightly different functionality. The new cards no longer have a so-called crypto chip, which enabled students to access the student and examination administration, among other things. The 2-factor authentication in the access to the IT system of the student and examination administration is therefore temporarily suspended for all students.

With the old thoska+ it is still possible to access QISPOS/module descriptions. This is done via the URL https://os.tu-ilmenau.de using a university account.

Students residing in Germany will receive the card by mail. International students will receive the card after arrival in Ilmenau at the ASC. Please bring an identification document for identification.

Collegiates and students can use their card immediately upon receipt with the following features.

Optical functions

The card can be used as a ticket and as an optical visual ID to authenticate the cardholder.

The imprint of the validity is semester-related and is controlled by the re-registration. After re-registration, cardholders can update the validity imprint of their card at the validation terminals on campus.

Electronic functions

The card can be used for electronic cashless payment and as an electronic ID to authenticate the cardholder.

The electronic validity is semester-related and is controlled by the re-registration. After re-registration, cardholders can update the electronic validity of their card at the validation terminals on campus
