Newly enrolled students from WS 2021/22 will receive new thoska cards with slightly different functionality. The new cards no longer have a so-called crypto chip, which enabled students to access the student and examination administration, among other things. The 2-factor authentication in the access to the IT system of the student and examination administration is therefore temporarily suspended for all students.

Effective immediately, access to QISPOS/Module Descriptions will be via the following URL: Access via the previous URL will then only be possible for students with a university account.

All other functions of the thoska card (e.g. access to rooms and parking spaces) remain unchanged.

For new employees and students a thoska will be created automatically, which can be picked up at the IT Service Desk of the UniRZ. Please bring an identification document for identification.


The IT Service Desk is the contact point for the IT services of the UniRZ and is available to all users of the TU Ilmenau. It is the first point of contactfor your questions and problems that may arise with the use of IT services of the UniRZ. You can come by in person or call during opening hours.
