Description

Biomedical Engineering is technology for life. It works directly for the well-being of mankind. Its goal is the research and development of technology-oriented methods and systems for early detection, diagnosis, therapy and rehabilitation of diseases. Biomedical Engineering is a multidisciplinary field of science at the interface between medicine and technology, with an exceptionally high rate of development. Recent studies place it among the ten leading technologies of the 21st century.

The Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering is a consecutive research-oriented university course of study that builds on a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering or other engineering degrees and qualifies graduates for a professional career in the medical technology industry, in hospitals orpublic authorities.

The aim of the research-oriented master's programme in Biomedical Engineering is to train graduates who have a sound basic knowledge of engineering science, outstanding methodological competence, a distinct understanding of current medical issues and practical knowledge of medical technology.

The Masters Course  Biomedical Engineering prepares the ground for a subsequent doctorate. The double master's programme with the University of Technology of Malaysia (UTM) enables students to obtain a double degree.
