About the person

During my PhD, I am primarily researching methods for causal decision-making, with a practical focus on biomedicine, specifically oncology and neuroimmunology.
My focus is on the further development of deep reinforcement learning architectures, which combine neural networks and Monte Carlo tree search to make optimal decisions. Another central aspect is inverse reinforcement learning, which is used to formalise the underlying decision-making logic.
Additionally, I am working on automated phenotyping of cells from flow cytometry data. This requires further pre-processing and data preparation, which also enables feature analysis using random forests.
