PhD day "Digital Data -Digital Methods -Digital Rights" at the Department of Economics and Media

On Friday, July 8, 2022, the PhD Day "Digital Data - Digital Methods - Digital Rights" organized by Elena Freisinger, Juliane Mendelsohn and Emese Domahidi took place at the Department of Economics and Media at TU Ilmenau.

Digital data and computational methods are ubiquitous and could provide (new) answers to fundamental research questions in the study of individuals and societies. This requires scholars in the fields of communication, economics, management, and law to acquire new skills in order to conduct valid, reliable, and ethical research in the digital domain. In addition to knowledge in data access, computational methods, and legal aspects, interdisciplinary work is key to the success of future projects.

The PhD day "Digital Data -Digital Methods -Digital Rights" brought together researchers from different fields to start a systematic engagement with digital data at our faculty and foster an interfaculty exchange.
