TU Ilmenau presentation on Identity Work in Family Firms by Maria Rosculete
privat

The Management & Organization group and the Marketing group represented TU Ilmenau at ‘Campus Thüringen’, the joint doctoral colloquium organised by business administration departments at universities in Thuringia. The ‘Campus Thüringen’ colloquium has been held regularly at least once per year since 2008 to offer early-career researchers the opportunity to present and discuss their work in a larger forum. The meeting has the character of a paper development workshop, where projects at an early stage are presented with the aim to develop conference papers and publications.

As part of the two-day programme, Maria Rosculete gave a presentation on her doctoral research project on identity work in family firms. The focus was on deriving the research question from the literature and the methodological approach. The next step is to evaluate the feedback from the interdisciplinary group of over 30 researchers and to further develop her own work.

Since 2011, the event has been held regularly at Kloster Plankstetten near Regensburg. The monastery’s unique atmosphere, combined with the lack of mobile phone reception, helps participants to focus on the presentations and engage in discussions with other researchers.

We are already looking forward to the next Campus Thüringen in the summer of 2027!
