VEDIAS - digital, internationally oriented study programs with social virtual reality application

Short description
Based on the experience gained in the summer semester 2020 and embedded in the strategic development planning for the years 2021 to 2025, Ilmenau University of Technology is supplementing its range of courses within the framework of the project with three internationally oriented master's degree programs that can be studied online. One of the courses being developed and tested is the social science-oriented degree program Media and Communication Science (MCS), which leads to a Master of Arts degree and has been internationally successful as a face-to-face format for years. In parallel, the competencies and framework conditions for the development of further digital study programs are being expanded; in particular through the further development of the existing quality management system and the IT infrastructures. Under the leadership of the Department of Media Studies, the entire Institute of Media and Communication Studies is involved in this project.
