The visibility and self-evident presence of trans people has increased in the last ten years - can universities keep up? An input will focus on the legal and health situation of trans people, their experiences at universities and what strengthens them. Afterwards, there will be room for discussion: How trans-friendly is our university and what else is needed at TU Ilmenau?

In the lecture and workshop you can expect an introduction to the concept of psychological safety, which is becoming increasingly important and forms the basis for a healthy and productive working environment. You can expect an interactive discussion about the importance of psychological safety, especially in heterogeneous teams, practical approaches to a positively supportive work culture and the opportunity to share experiences and gain new perspectives.

The aim of the workshop is to

Society is changing. Traditional role models are being broken down, family constellations are being rethought and fathers are becoming more aware of their role.

"We know how good it would be for our children to have a man at their side who accompanies them consciously, genuinely and lovingly. Someone who can accept them for who they are, see their potential and learn together with them. More and more fathers are embarking on this path: their decision to be more present, genuine and lovingly responsible has the potential to truly create a family at eye level," writes Carsten Vonnoh on his website.

His aim is to encourage and support fathers on this path. In his online lecture, he takes an in-depth look at the various aspects of "being a father" and tries to support (expectant) fathers in their (new) role with personal experiences and expertise.

The social situation we are currently experiencing is characterized more than ever by dynamics, opacity and uncertainty. We are experiencing this in the context of global political developments, but also in our immediate environment. We are encountering phenomena that are not always tangible, but changes that can be felt.

The question arises for each individual: how can I deal with this? But also as a student community, how can we enter into a conversation about this and what helps us and is available to us to deal with these new developments?

In a workshop, we want to experiment with what we can do with uncertain situations. On the other hand, we offer a common space to explore the phenomenon of a restless society and its effects on us. Ultimately, we can only meet the challenges of the future well together, so let's start now ...

Psychological safety is of central importance not only in the academic world, but in every organization. It is a crucial factor in minimizing discrimination, promoting diversity sensitivity and strengthening mental health.

Especially in the context of increasing internationalization, teachers face particular challenges.

This workshop will provide an insight into the concept of psychological safety and its relevance for teachers. It will discuss how psychological safety not only makes people feel valued and safe in their environment, but also enables them to build up more health resources, increase their performance and thus reduce inequality of opportunity in terms of health and education.

Contents of the workshop:

• Insight into the concept of psychological safety: why is it so crucial for organizations of all kinds?
• Joint discussion of challenges experienced: What hurdles do participants face in their everyday lives and how can these be overcome by strengthening psychological safety?
• Development of possible solutions: Together we will discuss strategies and approaches to promote psychological safety in the participants' respective organizations.
