learning outcomeDie Studenten sind in der Lage die für das zu lösende Problem geeigneten Simulationssysteme auszuwählen. Sie sind befähigt die verschiedenen Simulationssysteme entsprechend der erforderlichen Näherungsstufe gezielt einzusetzen und zu parametrieren. Sie sind in der Lage technische Felder zu simulieren. Weiterhin sind sie befähigt auch umfangreiche leistungselektronische Schaltungen und Systeme nachzubilden, um die zeitlichen Verläufe interessierender Größen zu bestimmen, daraus die Beanspruchung der Bauelemente abzuleiten und damit die Schaltungen zu dimensionieren.
The students are able to find a solution of a given problem using appropriate simulation packages. They are qualified to use different simulation packages for the required simulation depth and to parameterise the total simulation model. They are able to simulate technical fields (thermal, electrostatic, electromagnetic field). Furthermore they will be able to extensively construct power electronic topologies and systems, so as to perform a time simulation to evaluate certain parameters, thereby to characterize the power switches, leading to the dimensioning of the power electronic topology.
