Den Studenten werden Grundprinzipien des Aufbaus und der Herstellung optoelektronischer Bauelemente vermittelt. Sie sind in der Lage, die für die jeweilige Anwendung in der Optoelektronik geeignetsten Bauelemente auszuwählen, d.h. sie kennen ihre Vor- und Nachteile. Basierend auf funditierten theoretischen Grundlagen sind die Studenten in der Lage, an der Entwicklung neuartiger Bauelemente mitzuwirken.
