Die Studierenden kennen Methoden  der optimalen Regelung linearer Systeme. Sie können die Vor- und Nachteile von Entwurfsmethoden benennen und den Entwurf für konkrete Anwendungen in geeigneter Weise durchführen. Dazu zählen Entwurfsmethoden für den linear-quadratischen Optimalregler und -beobachter, den Entwurf des Kalman-Filters sowie modellprädiktiver und robuster Regelungen.
