learning outcome

Students understand structure and functions of complex embedded systems. They understand requirements and design aspects with respect to real time, communication, and software architecture issues. Participants are able to take into account safety, reliability, timing, and performance requirements and know kow to design embedded systems with guarantees. Methods: students are able to apply methods of model-based systems and software design and hardware/software codesign to given design problems. They master different modeling and design methods and can decide which one fits a given problem setting. Soft skills: students have learned and trained to present results in a specific area of complex embedded systems design in a student talk. They can listen to other students' presentations, discuss and give constructive criticism.
