Lecturer: Sabine Vana-Ströhla

"Language is the source of all misunderstandings," said Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. It is impossible to estimate the damage to companies caused by misinterpretations in communication. What is "polite" and what is "impolite"? How do trust and commitment develop? What are the no-goes?
The intercultural trainer Sabine Vana-Ströhla has several years of experience abroad and has been working as a lecturer and consultant for companies and universities for 10 years. In this course on intercultural business communication, you will be prepared for your job in an internationally operating company.
Topics:
Are stereotypes and prejudices avoidable?
Cultural peculiarities in comparison.
Communication in the sender-receiver model: Psychology of interpersonal communication.
Conflict management: Analysis of a conflict and ways to intervene in the process.
Intercultural competence as a key qualification.
The contents will be dealt with case studies, simulations, group work and a business game, among other things.
