attending the lecture, students understand the difference between self-management
skills, study skills, and research skills (professional competence).

After
attending the lecture, students understand the basics of good academic practice
in communication science (professional competence).

After attending
the lecture and working on the practical tasks, students know how to approach
academic tasks and manage core elements of empirical research projects. They
can conduct simpler research projects on their own (methods competence).

After
working on the practical tasks, students can plan the time for a research
project, motivate themselves to work on that project, structure the process,
follow rules of good practice in communication science, and assess their
achievements (self-management competence).
