The program Computer Science and Systems Engineering is an engineering science major with orientation in system engineering, which conveys the means and methods of computer science as well as of electrical engineering.
Solving engineering tasks requires increasingly well-founded knowledge of computer science. Modern products such as motorcars, mobile phones or medical devices are based on the complex interaction of highly integrated hardware and specialized software. The funcionality of contemporary products is achieved to some extent by integrated software. In the development of traffic management systems or drinking water supply networks the application of software also plays a prominent role. Complex processes are analyzed and modeled with the perspective of an engineer, simulated with the computer and in the end designed ideally. The early integration of software competence in the process of developping new products and systems is today an essential criteria for success.
Computer Science and Systems Engineering is an interdisciplinary study program. Successful studies lead to the professional qualification "Bachelor of Science". It qualifies for the consecutive master program.
Detailed Overview Modultafel Ingenieurinformatik (Bachelor)
Computer Science and Systems Engineering is the best compromise between computer science and electrical engineering because it connects software development with hardware development.

The basic internship is an academic achievement with a duration of six weeks. It should be fulfilled preferably before the start of studies, but can also be completed before the end of the sixth semester. The professional internship during the seventh semester takes not less than 12 weeks and can be completed in companies at home as well as abroad.
