Media economics is to a large extent a study of business administration. What makes this course of studies special is the transfer of knowledge, theoretical and practical skills in the fields of economics and law, media technology and media sciences. This interdisciplinary approach shall enable the graduates to design and control economic processes considering particularly media-specific questions self dependent and in multidisciplinary cooperation with business economists, media technicians, media scientists as well as partners from other functional directions.
Within the undergraduate studies elementary expertise is taught. In higher semesters introductive lectures for specialist major subjects particularly for business administration are offered. Successful studies lead to the degree “bachelor of science”, which qualifies for a career as well as for a constitutive master’s program.
