Research Interest

In my PhD work, research interests were converged on studying the structural and dynamic properties of environment-friendly biopolymer films, and its impact in different applications. The step toward this goal was: understanding the molecular dynamics during the film formation of biopolymers like gelatin, starch and poly(vinyl alcohol). The main technique used was Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR). This technique allowed exploring the microscopic dynamics of the film during its film formation at different heights with a spatial resolution of few tenths of micrometers. Other techniques, including X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and thermal analysis, were used to explore the properties of the final film.
