Viscous low-conducting glass melt flow in output of glass processing system caused by two independent EM field sources. - In: 6th International Conference on Electromagnetic Processing of Materials, (2009), S. 537-540

The main field of this work is outlet of special melting system numerical simulation. Theses glasses needs appropriate operating conditions to achieve godd thermal and chemical homogeneity. Results show differences between use of different geometries and EM impact parameters, where optimization criteria was temperature homogeneity in melt.

Modelling convective and radiative heat transfer in a glass melting model crucible. - In: Proceedings of the International Scientific Colloquium Modelling for Electromagnetic Processing, (2008), S. 285-290

Numerical imodelling of thermally and electromagnetically semi-transparent glass melt in an experimental model crucible has been done using both constant and temperature dependent physical prperties of the melt. Impact of heat conduction, thermal an EM convection as well as radiation heat transfer has been analysed. Influence of absorption coeffizient on the maximal temperature Tmax and temperature range DT in the melt has been perceived. In case of temperature dependent physical properties corresponding to a real glas composition importance of the radiative heat transfer in reducing the risk of overheating the melt has been illustrated.

Crossed EM fields driven weak conducting flow in annular clinder. - In: Proceedings of the International Scientific Colloquium Modelling for Electromagnetic Processing, (2008), S. 271-276

Numerical investigation of new equipment for electromagnetic processing of weak conducting material melts was carried out. Significance of diffenrent effects and physical phenomena was evaluated, including previously neglected heat transfer and bouyancy effects.
