"International Engineers for Thuringia" is part of the DAAD Program promoting academic Success and Labour Market Integration of International Talents funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
The Project aims to support international Master's Engineering Students at TU Ilmenau throughout their entire academic journey. Tailored services are provided to guide students towards academic Success and, ultimately, a seamless transition into their engineering Careers. The Project sets out to make a particular contribution to addressing the shortage of qualified engineers in Thuringia, the federal state in which TU Ilmenau is located.
International Engineers for Thuringia runs at TU Ilmenau for four years until the end of 2028. The Project management is centrally located in the International Office at TU Ilmenau in cooperation with the four below named Master Programs, the Central Institute for continuing Education (ZIB) and the Virtual Worlds and Digital Games Group of the Department of Economic Sciences and Media.
International Students from the Winter Semester 2024/2025 and 2026/2027 Cohorts of the following english-speaking Master Programs, who are interested in pursuing a Career in Thuringia aafter graduation are especially invited to apply:

A major requirement for participation is the interest to work in Thuringia after completion of studies. This interest should be declared in the application.
Places to participate in the funded International Engineers for Thuringia support program are limited to a total of 40 students per cohort. Students that are selected for participation will enjoy tailored offers that may not be available at the university otherwise. Wherever possible, offers from the project will be opened to all international engineering students such as when there are no participant restrictions.
