| learning outcome | Die Studierenden kennen den Forschungsprozess und haben einen Überblick über die grundlegenden Methoden und Untersuchungsdesigns der empirischen Kommunikationsforschung. Sie haben vertiefte Kenntnisse im Bereich der Umfrageforschung und sind in der Lage diese Methode der Datenerhebung zur Lösung von medienpraktischen- und kommunikationswissenschaftlichen Problemen zielgerichtet einzusetzen. |
| content | Die Grundlagen der wichtigsten quantitativen empirischen Methoden der Kommunikations-forschung (Befragung, Beobachtung, Inhaltsanalyse) sowie der grundlegenden Untersuchungsdesigns (Querschnitt, Längsschnitt, Experiment) werden vermittelt. Das gewonnene Wissen über den Forschungsprozess und die Datenerhebung wird am Beispiel der Befragung in den Begleitseminaren in einem praktischen Forschungsprojekt angewendet. The basic principles of the most important quantitative empirical methods of communication research (survey, observation, content analysis) and the fundamental designs of research (cross section, longitudinal section, experiment) are communicated. The obtained knowledge about the process of research and the collection of data are applied in a questionnaire, which is developed in the accompanying seminar. |
