The participants get an overview on the principles of social media based campaigning, experience its practical challenges by outlining a social media campaign and producing a series of video clips, and concurrently become acquainted with basic rules of video production.

  • Active participation (contributes 20% to final grade FG)
  • Academic paper on "Principles of Social Media Campaigning" (8-22 pages including reference; one paper per group). Submission deadline: May 31, 2016 to be sent to: martin.loeffelholz@tu-ilmenau.de (FG = 40%)
  • Preparing campaign (FG = 30%):
    • Campaign outline (10-15 pages)
    • Sample videos (minimum 3 per group) including scripts
    • PowerPoint presentation (40 min per group including showing clips)
    Submission deadline: June 30, 2016 (outline, scripts and presentation to be sent to: martin.loeffelholz@tu-ilmenau.de) martin.loeffelholz@tu-ilmenau.de
  • Presentation of campaign at the pitch on July 8-9, 2016 (FG = 10%)
