content

Lecturer:         Dr. Andrea C. Hoffmann

In the seminar, we will identify current trends in journalism and the psychological effect they have on journalists working in different kinds of media, old and new.

Changing working environments will be analyzed with a special focus on traumatizing environments such as war zones, natural disasters, or crime reporting.

We will then especially focus on the coping strategies of journalists and theirs individual techniques to deal with difficult situations.

A questionnaire will be compiled in order to be used for in-depth-interviews to be performed by the participants. These interviews will be the base of our analysis.
