Lecturer: Dipl.-Kffr. Stephanie Gauger

"Language is the source of all misunderstandings," said Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
Intercultural communication is an essential capacity in avoiding misunderstandings in international negotiations. What is the power of words and how can we use it to cooperate internationally with success. How do trust and commitment develop and how do we create long lasting businessrelationships?
The mentor for Cultural Wealth in enterprises, Mithila - Stephanie Gauger, has been living and working about 10 years abroad in countries as Russia, Canada, Palestine, Nepal, Cosa Rica or Togo. As a trainer and consultant for organizational development she has accompanied companies, universities and employees when dealing with intercultural uncertainties, stereotypes and other challenges.
In this course on intercultural business communication, you will be prepared for your job in an internationally operating company.
Topics:
How to deal with stereotypes and prejudices?
Cultural characteristics as a concept of rules. Cultural case studies in comparison.
Characteristics of communication and intercultural consequences
Global economic power and its future challenges for international cooperations
Dealing with uncertainties as a basis for the development of intercultural competence
