| learning outcome | The students are able to explain mechanical and functional properties of materials in the micro- and nanotechnology from their basic microscopic structure. They can explain changes in properties and can analyze them. They know methods to fabricate micro- and nanostructures and systems. They are able to select the appropriate material for a specific task in micro- and nanotechnologies. During the practical training students acquire basic skills in the application, properties, investigation/analysis and modification of materials. They are abledto carry out material science experiments and micro- and nanofabrication. They apply to choose and apply different materials and methods. They are practically able to test and apply material properties for certain fabrication routes. They can popose and justify the right materials for the right fabrication routes. They can discuss with colleagues and argue about the choosen methods and materials. They can report and communicate fabrication routes. They are able to discuss, design, evaluate, graphically display and assess the materials and methods used in nanofabriaction. |
