content

The media project is an independent achievement of the students under the professional supervision of IfMK staff.

The media project can be carried out as a practical or research-oriented media project. Topics are offered by the departments, own suggestions are welcome after consultation with the lecturers.

a) A practice-oriented media project involves the conception and/or production of a media product, e.g. a website, a brochure, a photo series or similar. The media product and a project report documenting the course of the project and justifying the conception and/or production process on the basis of scientific methods will be submitted.

b) A research-related media project focuses on empirical data collection in the field of media research. Under guidance, empirical data will be collected and an appealing visualisation will be developed. The project focuses on creative, practical data collection and visualization. The collected data as well as the documentation of the study will be handed in in the form of a scientific report.

The media project can be written in German or English in consultation with the supervisors. Media projects can be carried out as individual or group work depending on the thematic circumstances (project teams not larger than 5 persons).
